D.O.A POLICY
Coral Kings LLC – Dead on Arrival (DOA) PolicyAt Coral Kings LLC, we are dedicated to Ruling the Reef by providing you with the healthiest, highest-quality marine life. We take every precaution to ensure your coral arrives safely, but we understand that shipping sensitive livestock carries inherent risks. Please review our policy below to understand how we handle Dead on Arrival (DOA) claims.
1. Live Arrival Guarantee: We guarantee that all livestock will arrive alive. In the unlikely event that your coral is Dead on Arrival (DOA), we will issue a store credit for the cost of the livestock. This guarantee applies to the value of the coral only; shipping costs are non-refundable.
2. Conditions for Coverage-To be eligible for a DOA claim, the following conditions must be met:
First Delivery Attempt: You must be available to receive the package on the first delivery attempt. If the package is left outside, missed, or returned to the depot, this guarantee is void.Time Window: You must notify us of any DOA items within two (2) hours of the delivery timestamp provided by the carrier (FedEx/UPS).
Original Packaging: Do not dispose of the specimen or the packaging until your claim is resolved. Discarding the item without our authorization will void the guarantee.
3. How to File a Claim: If you receive a DOA item, please follow these steps immediately:Take Photos in the Bag: Take clear photos of the dead coral while it is still in the original, unopened sealed bag. The water usage and condition of the bag must be visible.Take Photos Out of the Bag: Once the first photo is taken, you may open the bag and take a clear photo of the specimen against a white background (e.g., a paper plate or paper towel).Submit via Email: Email the photos along with your order number to Sales@coralkingsaquatics.com within the 2-hour window.
4. Exclusions: Our guarantee does not cover:Carrier Delays: Delays caused by the shipping carrier (mechanical failure, weather, acts of God) that result in a late delivery are generally not covered, though we will handle these on a case-by-case basis.
Tank Incompatibility: We are not responsible for livestock death due to tank incompatibility (e.g., fish nipping, aggressive tank mates) or water chemistry issues in your aquarium.
Acclimation Errors: Death occurring after the specimen has been placed in your tank is not covered, as we cannot control your water parameters or acclimation process.
5. Resolution Approved DOA: claims will be issued as store credit usable on your next order. We do not offer cash refunds for livestock.
